Congratulations to former Drogheda Boys player, Davey Harper on making his debut for Shelbourne FC recently against Ipswich Town.

Davey graduated from our Drogheda Boys U16 Premier team, Class of 2014.

 

A former coach of Davey had the following to say about the talented player.

​

"Davey is a very classy, elegant ball playing midfielder. Can use both feet very comfortably. Which was very unusual at his age.

 

Without a doubt his biggest attribute was his application. He travelled 40 mins for each training session. He was like a sponge for wanting to learn. Forever asking questions about tactical situations. A coach's dream player.

 

Great kid. One of the ones we were confident would progress. He'll also make a good coach if that is something he ever pursues in the future. Helped us out a couple of times last seaason. Very clever footballing brain."
